Speaker 1: Fantastic. I'm glad we are working together. I'll send that through right now, not a problem. Yeah, right now. Okay, take care. Come in. I'm sending that off to a very happy client there. Margery told me how quickly you resolved that GST tax issue.

Speaker 2: Yes. Well, it's good that I spotted the GST issue so early on, otherwise it could have caused major problems for them.

S1: Yes, well done, well done. This meeting is for?

S2: Our fortnightly review.

S1: Right, of course. I'm just testing you out there. Okay, lets take a look at these jobs. Now, just to let you know, we've had a new job come in for Smith and Delaney, it's an insolvency matter, and I'd really like you take the lead on this one if you can manage it.

S2: Well, that does bring up something that I'd like to talk to you about.

S1: You're not gonna tell me that you're leaving us, are you?

S2: No, but it might impact on this new job. I wanted to let you know that I've been living with depression for sometime. I've learnt to manage it, but more recently things have become a bit more difficult for a number of reasons. I've been to my doctor and she has adjusted my medication, and I've also recommenced therapy with my psychologist. My doctor also told me that I need to be aware of my workload at the moment, and particularly as I am getting used to the new medication.

S1: Right, okay. I wouldn't even have know if you hadn't told me, Katrina. Why is it so important to let me know?

S2: Well, I've decided that I would like to tell the team, so I wanted to let you know first.

S1: Most people wanna keep this sort of thing quiet.

S2: Well, I find it stressful to hide the fact that I live with depression. I'm good at my job, I enjoy work, and like you said you would never have noticed. But I wanna be open about why I need to manage my workload and sometimes take a day off. I feel that it's only fair to the team. And Mental Health Week is coming up, and I thought it would be a good opportunity to tell the team. Maybe if I am open about it, the others can learn a little bit about depression and anxiety.

S1: I'm sorry, I'm just not really prepared for this. How far do you wanna go with telling people? Do you wanna tell the clients as well?

S2: No. There is no reason to.

S1: You did mention that it would impact on the new job. Can you explain that?

S2: I need to make sure that I don't do too much overtime. I order to stay healthy I need to keep a home life, I need to do regular exercise, do something outside of work.

S1: Okay, like a work-life balance?

S2: Yes.

S1: Right.

S2: I hope this doesn't change how you view me?

S1: No, no. Not at all, not at all. I just don't know much about this issue, that's all.

S2: Well, not many people do, which is why I wanted to talk to you about it. I've also printed off some information from the beyondblue website.

S1: Thank you. That's great. How do you propose to tell everybody?

S2: I'm not sure at the moment. Perhaps I'll have to think about it and run it by you once I've decided.

S1: Yeah, of course. Sure. That would be great. And then, we can sit down together, take a look at your workload and make sure you can manage it all.

S2: Great. Thanks Dan. I have been wanting to tell you this for ages.
